Shoreditch Design Triangle

In celebration of this year's London Design Festival, twenty one shops and galleries in and around the Shoreditch Triangle have joined forces to bring you a week of special design events. Starting from Saturday the 18th of September each location will be holding events to launch individual exhibitions and present exciting new work. Please see company websites for further details.

SCP - Autumn/Winter collection and All Lovely Stuff
SCP present their Autumn/Winter 2010 collection which includes the Sundara rug collection, a collaboration with textile designer Donna Wilson and new designs by Terence Woodgate, Matthew Hilton, Alex Hellum, Sylvain Wilenz and Rich Brilliant Willing. In addition, SCP will be launching a collection by All Lovely Stuff, the unique homeware manufacturer founded by Carl Clerkin and Ed Ward. The collection includes designs by Clerkin, Ward and Michael Marriott.

Andaz Liverpool St - Gallery Libby Sellers
Presents Branches by Simon Heijdens at the 1901 Wine Bar. Branches transposes the static foyer into a forest of light. In addition to this, Mathieu Lehanneur presents Once Upon a Dream; a sleeping pod structure  commissioned by Veuve Clicquot. Outside the hotels entrance, Gallery Libby Sellers with Andaz Liverpool Street will present the temporary pop-up ‘L Bar’,designed by Glass Hill. Cole & Son, the premier wallpaper manufacturer will also launch their new Autumn/Winter 2010 collection with a wall installation in the Andaz Lounge.

BarberOsgerby - Open Studio
Visitors to the festival are invited to the BarberOsgerby studio to view recent furniture and lighting launches and gain a unique glimpse at the design process behind the scenes. Selected BarberOsgerby products will also be available for visitors to purchase.

Caravan - In Miniature
Eclectic East End store Caravan and hand-printed wallpaper artist Deborah Bowness once again play with scale. Deborah Bowness has applied carefully constructed miniature designs to a Caravan-styled set that is brought to life with moving image by Atticus Finch.

Ella Doran - Edition Paumes
Ella Doran collaborates with Edition Paumes, a family run Japanese publishers based in Tokyo to celebrate the exclusive launch of their new book - London Family Style. This will be the first chance to buy the brand new Paumes volume, which explores the environments of eighteen creative families in London. The rest of the Paumes collection will also be available along with a showcase of Ella Doran's new Por Tables and Geo ranges.

A new and exciting collaboration between Fumi and Fendi with seven new works by Paul Kelley and new work by Studio Glithero, Freddie Yauner, Rowan Mersh and Tina Roeder.

An exhibition and temporary hotel by design duo JAMESPLUMB. By day the couple exhibit their latest assemblage and luminaires, and by night offer a limited number of people the chance of a nights stay in a truly inimitable hospitality experience.

This year the shop will be holding an exhibition entitled “Trays from around the world” in addition to the launch of three new products; The Country Trainer, a shoe designed for Camper, a telephone designed for Punkt and the new Platinum grey ceramic R5.5 chronograph for Rado.

Award-winning British designer, Lee Broom, launches his new lighting range, 'One Light Only'. Broom is curating a dramatic large-scale illuminated installation of 'One Light Only', taking up the entire ground floor of his new East London gallery.

Where Art & Industry Collide- The relationship between art and industry is a problematic one, with both sides harbouring prejudices and
misconceptions. Tectonics Plates takes the idea of displaying plates; a familiar component of the family kitchen for over 200 years, into a fresh, new and contemporary context.

Lik + Neon - Julian Mayor
Julian Mayor is showing three new works - the Graziano chair, the May stool and the Frame light in brass. Lik + Neon is one of Brick Lane's original design shops, offering a unique selection of products. Integrated into the shop design are custom-built spaces for Lik + Neon's four resident cats.

Danish born - American made Jens Risom’s furniture is a fusion of Danish craft and American modernism. in collaboration with Rocket Gallery and Benchmark, we are showing pieces from the new re-issue of Risom’s classic designs from the 1960s. Shown with Morten Løbner Espersen’s ceramics.

Mathmos Monsters Mathmos launch Mathmos Monsters – giant lava lamps made to order. Also the Smart Astro – the 1963 classic updated with LEDs and chip technology. On the 21st Mathmos are serving Kettle One Vodka lava lamp martinis.

Milk is proud to represent three artisans and an eclectic selection of their work. Italian sculptor Barnaba Fornasetti's new vases with prototypes exclusive to Milk, London-based artist Debra Franses-Bean's handbag sculptures, and one-off 'wearable art' fashion pieces by Londoner Walter Raes who will be creating a piece at the event.

Rocket Gallery - Tomoko Azumi objective
The first gallery exhibition of furniture by the London-based Japanese designer Tomko Azumi and her tna design studio. Work relating to collaborations with several international furniture-makers will be on show as well as a document of the evolution of the new Azumi dining table – a collaboration between Rocket and Benchmark Furniture.

Shelf will show a new collection by Offcut Design, including limited edition desk sets, hooks and candleholders. Offcut Design are Gemma Gourlay & Michael Harris. they have been producing beautifully made homeware & accessories from discarded wood and Formica since 2008.

A powerful new international design exhibition, set to be the premiere destination at this year’s festival. Featuring up to 25 authentic high-end design brands presented against the stunning backdrop of a post-industrial venue.
