SCP are now stocking a range of vintage Kelim rugs that have been carefully sourced and selected from the Middle East by Danish brand HAY. Each rug is an antique between 40 - 100 years old and therefore a unique piece of craftsmanship; we only have one of each design shown. The rugs are woven using a traditional technique that has survived through generations and has become part of a cultural heritage. The weavers create the rugs without using patterns to create well-known traditional motifs which they blend with designs from their own imagination.  Woven with wool from camels and goats, the rugs were originally intended to serve the weavers familes, today they are used as bedspreads, ornaments or as protection against the hard soil.
