Rich Brilliant Willing
Theo Richardson, Charles Brill and Alexander Williams met whilst studying furniture design at The Rhode Island School of Design. Together, they founded Rich Brilliant Willing in 2007. During Design Miami 2008, Rich Brilliant Willing designed a pop up shop for ID magazine, Charles & Marie and Areaware in the heart of Miami’s Design District. The shop was created using shipping materials, namely cardboard boxes and tape. In the same year, the trio designed Clinker end table and coffee table for Innermost. The table is based on a technique used to build Clinker boats. In 2009, Rich Brilliant Willing designed retail displays for Property Of... and Urban Outfitters. They also designed sustainable packaging for Club Sandwich and an Aquavit bottle for Norwegian distiller, Linie. I.D. magazine named Rich Brilliant Willing among the “Top 40” designers in 2009, and they were named an “Avant Guardian” by Surface magazine in the same year. They have recently appeared in publications such as FRAME, Metropolis, World of Interiors and The New York Times. In 2010 SCP launched Rich Brilliant Willing’s Timberly hall rack as part of their Autumn/Winter collection.
