2012 Collection at MOST

By Lucy James in News

At MOST, the new and exciting location for design in Milan, SCP are proud to present the 2012 Collection.

SCP are a consistently innovative manufacturer of design, making high-quality products for the 21st Century home. Working closely with a stable of international designers, we produce a carefully curated range of upholstery, furniture, accessories, textiles and rugs.

This year at MOST, we present both new designs and new ideas. For the first time ever, we present the SCP Workshop, a live showcase of our fully sustainable upholstery making techniques, brought straight from our specialist factory in Norfolk, England.

On show at MOST are new product designs from Matthew HiltonDonna WilsonKay+Stemmer,Ineke Hans and Faudet-Harrison. Alongside new versions of products from Peter MarigoldLee Kirkbride and Gareth Neal.

At SCP, we are dedicated to making things in a responsible way, working at a local scale to create designs that have an international resonance. We believe that products should be useful, honest, unobtrusive and long-lasting.

SCP, a quarter of a century in the making.

Donna Wilson and Rococo Chocolate Easter Eggs

By Hannah Beesley in Products

Donna Wilson has teamed up with Rococo Chocolates to produce this delicious range of hand-painted Easter eggs. Rococo is a maverick in the sometimes stuffy world of luxury chocolate, their three London stores decked out with Botticelli cherubs, pink walls and exquisite products and packaging. They are also famed for their award winning combinations, from the sublime white chocolate with strawberries to the award-winning milk chocolate with sea salt. Bet you're regretting giving it up for Lent now...

Donna's charming designs are hand-painted onto white and dark chocolate eggs. Some are filled with more-ish Rococo ganache chocolates, and some of the smaller eggs come with a bone china egg cup.

These three eggs arrive within each other, like traditional Russian Dolls but more delicious.

The trademark Rococo packaging has been given the Donna touch, that is, been covered in owl drawings.

These two are our favourites because they are so adorable (maybe partly because you get two eggs in a pack). Mmm, now when's our staff tasting?

Pre-order yours here, they are due in March if you can't wait until Easter.

British Design at the V&A

By Hannah Beesley in Events

The excellent British Design 1948-2012: Innovation In The Modern Age opens at the V&A in London tomorrow, 31st March 2012. The exhibition features over 300 British design objects highlighting significant moments over the period, from the post-war 'Austerity Games' of 1948 right up to the present day. We went along to the opening night and here are a few snaps (please excuse the iPhone quality images, ahem).

One of the items chosen is the Antelope chair designed by Matthew Hilton for SCP.

Thinking Man's chair by Jasper Morrison.
