Arrangements in Wood Collection by Alex Hellum

Arrangements in Wood is a series of sculptural art pieces by Norwegian born, UK based designer, Alex Hellum. Hand-made from various timbers and surplus materials they all feature unique details. Creating non-functional pieces is a new venture for Hellum, who is a well-established product and furniture designer, with an ethos based on observation, utility and honest use of materials. These new sculptures inherit a narrative from Hellum’s existing body of work, the centrepiece for sculpture No.1 for instance, is the first prototype for the Ulrik stool that Hellum designed for SCP, others feature architraves from cabinets, or Douglas fir from an installation. All pieces can be hung on a wall with a mounting wire.
