Born from an exploratory creative process in Vic Wright's Greater Manchester-based studio, these sculptures are formed on the basis of casts and sustainable materials.
Using sustainable casting cement, Wright experiments with adding various different materials such as metal powders and pigments; upon drying this results in many different textures, colours and surfaces. The contrast of materials and textures in Wrights work evokes an amplified, yet distorted version of the natural world - full of both tactility and smooth facets.
