The Sawaru floor uplight by Nendo features a great minimalist design with two simple cylinders resting at a perpendicular angle. There is a small pin that slots into one of three holes in the light cylinder allowing it to be attached at three possible angles 25°, 40° and 60°.
The Sawaru is available in four different finishes: Black, blue/grey, white and gold.
Description
From Oki Sato's Nendo, the Sawaru floor up-light is a mastery of minimalist lighting design. By reducing the components of a light fitting to its core elements and simplest form the Sawaru enables various functions. The two cylinders which are identical in form play the roles of the light source and the stand/base.
Material
The body is made from extruded aluminium with painted or galvanised finish. The diffuser is photo-etched, injection-moulded polycarbonate. There is a die-cast aluminium reflector inside the cylinder.
