The ABC table lamp pays homage to Barba Corsini, the designer behind the PD2 Floor Lamp. In this simple yet powerful table light, Joaquim Ruiz Millet draws on the same architectural forms and sculptural structures of La Pedrera that influenced Corsini’s original design.
When the original interior was restored in 1991 and Corsini’s was removed, architect Joaquim Ruiz Millet sought to bring Corsini’s influential design language to a modern audience.
In the ABC light, Millet has created a smaller version of the original PD2 lamp, reminiscent of the vaulted ceilings and chimneys of La Pedrera. This contemporary light presents new opportunities for the design, whilst capturing the same sense of elegance and fine craftsmanship.
