Inspired by cast engine blocks, crankcases and gear housings, the Carter vase was designed by Floris Hover in 2014 for Cor Unum and is made of two separate pieces of ceramic bolted together.

Description
Cor Unum is a ceramic studio in 's-Hertogenbosch where beautiful ceramics from nationally and internationally known designers are made with great passion and craftsmanship. From the Latin for One Heart, Cor Unum has its roots in sheltered employment, securing meaningful work for people who find it difficult to find work elsewhere. Today they are supported by many: ambassadors and students, designers and volunteers, people at a distance from the labour market and professionals. They all share one common ideal, everyone deserves a place, everyone has a talent and everyone can contribute to making the world a better place.
