La Mariposa, or the 'Butterfly chair', was originally designed in Buenos Aires in 1938. Also known as the BKF chair (named after its three creators Bonet, Kurchan and Ferrari), this design classic has now had an outdoor-friendly update.
New details which make it the ideal outdoor lounger include a double layer of Sunbrella Plus fabric secured to the frame against the wind with hidden Velcro in the ears. Furthermore, the bent steel frame has a zinc coating to protect it from rusting, as well as a drainage hole at the bottom of the cover, keeping this classic in perfect condition for even longer.
