Product Information
Description
The Tulip chair was designed to address the "ugly, confusing, unrestful world" that Saarinen witnessed underneath chairs and tables. His solution took shape as a single, fluted pedestal base. This streamlined form reduced the number of legs, and remains an iconic silhouette widely seen in kitchens, dining rooms and meeting rooms.

The KnollStudio logo and the signature of Eero Saarinen are located on the underside of the base.

Materials
Base: Cast aluminium, Rilsan coated finish. Shell: Moulded fibreglass reinforced plastic bonded finish. Upholstery: Upholstered or unupholstered inner shell, with removable foam cushion (zippered cover and Velcro fastening).
