Tangāli Collection
Having seen the level of skill and dexterity of the cane weavers during their first visit to Phantom Hands in 2017, INODA+SVEJE pushed their weavers to make patterns that are not traditional to Indian furniture which became the signature style of the Tangāli Collection. The Tangāli weave is a testament to how traditional crafts adapt to contemporary design.
Tangāli means cool breeze in Kannada language (spoken locally in Bangalore where the Phantom Hands workshop is based). The collection takes its name from the cool monsoon breeze that accompanied INODA+SVEJE's visit to Bangalore.
