The EA 108 chair forms part of the 1958 Aluminian Chairs collection by Charles and Ray Eames. The popularity of these iconic office chairs has endured thanks to their generous proportions, elegant metal base and resilient sling seat.

Description
For the Aluminium chairs, Charles and Ray Eames sought an alternative to the seat shell and instead made an elastic seat by stretching a panel of fabric or leather across an aluminium frame. This allows the EA chairs to easily adapt and support the body of the sitter, making them extremely comfortable without the need for elaborate upholstery.

The EA 108 office chair from Vitra features this classic construction, alongside a swivel base and elegant armrests. It is an ideal choice for homes, offices and public areas, and comes in a choice of base finishes and upholstery options.

Materials
Backrest and seat: chair with medium-high backrest. Seat in mesh fabric or upholstered with high-frequency welded horizontal ribbing in Hopsak, Leather or Premium Leather. Side profiles and spreaders in die-cast aluminium, with a polished or chrome-plated finish or powder-coated in deep black. Armrests: die-cast aluminium, with a polished or chrome-plated finish or powder-coated in deep black.

Fitted with felt glides for hard floor as standard. Glides for carpet available upon request.

Fabrics
Available in a choice of fabrics, leathers and netweave. To purchase this product in a different material or base finish, please contact us.
