The Flap Over The Wall tables display an artisanal approach to a practical, collapsible product. Crafted from plywood, every component is decorated with a vibrant classical print. This decoration is emphasised and balanced by the table’s clean geometry and exposed plywood edges.
By decorating each design with a tableau sourced from the Rijkmuseum image archives, Piet Hein Eek juxtaposes tradition with modernity. The prints bring a decorative quality to the piece, which function as easily as an artwork leaning against a wall, as it does as an occasional dining table.
In contrast to traditional mass-manufactured furniture designs, each item of Piet Hein Eek collection is carefully produced in their workshop, based in Netherlands.
