Description
The design re-imagined the traditional layout of offices at the time, which featured a large, imposing desk placed at an angle to the walls. The Knoll oval table offered the same generous desktop area, yet introduced a more versatile shape and inviting presence. The simplicity of the modern desk was influenced by the work of Mies van der Rohe, with a tapered top and metal pedestal base. Each detail was endlessly refined by Florence Knoll to achieve minimal, seemingly effortless beauty.
