Noctambule by Konstantin Grcic is a collection of lamps consisting of interconnecting blown glass modules. Named after the french word for Night Owl, The Noctambule is see-through and almost inexistent during the day but comes to life in the dark like its namesake.
Description
The cylindrical glass modules set the basic grammar of the Noctambule collection. The single module is a lantern. Several modules stacked on top of each other create a light column or a suspended chandelier inside a stairwell. Extra elements such as a glass dome or a cone-shaped head provide added performance for floor-standing up-lighters and pendants.
Materials
Cylindrical and semi-spherical transparent blown glass structure, die-cast aluminium base and rings, hydroformed steel internal lateral arms and injection moulded optical opal silicone outer ring diffusers.
