Matisse 1 stacking vessel - dark amber & larch

Utopia & Utility

£289.00

The Matisse stacking vessel by Utopia & Utility is a handcrafted glass sculpture designed by Finnish-German artist Pia Wüstenberg. A softly rounded, mouth-blown glass form is crowned with a sculptural wooden element, its naturally irregular edges celebrating the beauty of imperfection. Together, the components create a striking tabletop sculpture; apart, the glass vessel functions as a refined vase for flowers.

Part of the Stacking Vessels collection, Matisse embodies a deep respect for European craftsmanship. The glass is mouth-blown in the Czech Republic, the wooden elements are hand-turned in Finland, and the metal components are hand-spun in England, before final assembly in Northern Germany. The result is an object that balances utility and art, thoughtful, tactile, and timeless.

All of the Utility & Utopia vases are one‑off pieces and may vary in form, finish, and character.
