Launching during London Design Festival 2019, Prism is a new ambient collection that plays with the idea of refracted and diffused light. It celebrates the simple beauty of sunlight, and a prism's miraculous ability to reveal the complete spectrum of colours contained within a single beam of light.

To create the collection, Calico worked with various prismatic forms, experimenting with the spectrum of colours produced by the refraction and diffusion of light. They photographed these choreographed scenes and used collage to create compositions that capture the effect of dappled light playing naturally across a surface. The collages are then set against ambient hues, to create a series of five opalescent colourways.
