Designed by Eero Saarinen in 1957, the Pedestal collection presented a simple solution to the visual clutter of table and chair legs. The Saarien tables, otherwise known as Tulip tables, come in a variety of shapes, sizes and marble top finishes.
The Saarinen table shown comprises a white Rislan base and a choice of marble tops. Also available in a wide range of finishes, please enquire for more information.
The Knoll logo is located on the underside of the base. A nameplate with the KnollStudio logo and the signature of the designer is also located on the underside of the top or on the top support plate.
Materials
Base: Original Saarinen design. Heavy moulded cast aluminium. Black and white bases are protected with Rilsan. Top: Bevel-edged satin smooth laminate, lacquer, acrylic stone, marble or veneer. Marble coated with transparent polyester to avoid use associated stains.
