Designed in the early 70s, the Sciangai was the first furnishing accessory proposed by Zanotta. The inspiration comes from the Chinese game where wooden sticks are held in the hand and then dropped onto a table.

Description
“Objects must enter into a relationship with the user, and must be easy to use,” explains designer Paolo Lomazzi in an interview for RAI television. “Everyday objects, domestic objects and objects that we are attached to.” Amazing in its simplicity, the Sciangai won the Compasso d’Oro Award in 1979.

Materials
Frame in oak, grey, white, black or burgundy varnished ash.
