Description
Originally designed in 1934, the Standard chair was informed by Prouvé's understanding that chairs bear most of the weight in their back legs. The chair featured a moulded wooden seat and backrest, with slender steel tubing for the front legs and angular, bent-steel back legs.
The Standard SP chair brings this feat of engineering into the 21st century, offering a seat and backrest in robust plastic, which come in a choice of colours.
Materials
Seat and backrest: ASA plastic (fine-textured). Base: bent sheet steel and tubular steel, powder-coated finish (textured).
