Inspired by the De Stjil movement of the 1920's and the possibilities of tubular steel, designer Marcel Breuer sought to simplify the classic lounge chair down to its essential forms. The result is the iconic Wassily lounge chair.
The tubular steel lounge chair is upholstered in Spinneybeck belting leather, which creates a comfortable and highly durable sling that supports the body. It is modern armchair that, thanks to its visual lightness and polished chrome finish, makes a smart and stylish addition to any contemporary living room, study or office.
Manufactured by Knoll, the KnollStudio logo and the signature of Marcel Breuer are stamped into the base of each chair.

Frame: Seamless tubular steel with a polished chrome finish. Upholstery: Spinneybeck belting leather in a wide range of colours. Glides: Opaque plastic glides shipped with each chair for optional on-site insertion to use on hard floors.
