Castiglioni Collection

The Castiglioni brothers, Achille and Pier Giacomo, were both trained as architects, but worked together on a breadth of design projects until the latter died in 1968, whereupon Achille continued the studio alone. They are widely acknowledged as greats of 20th Century industrial design and played a vital role in the development of Italian industry after the Second World War. They had a deep understanding of symbolism in design and were both flexible and joyous in their approach to it. Many of their designs are still in production today, including an iconic range of lighting for Flos.
