Lightweight, flexible and simple to install, the 50 year old range is a staple example of what has since become known as “Scandinavian Design”. First designed and manufactured in 1949 by architect and designer Nils "Nisse" Strinning, the String system was reissued in 2005 and is available in a range of colours and veneers, and is still manufactured in Malmo, Sweden.

Description
The String floor panels are supports for the shelves collection that are supported on legs as well as being attached to the wall. They are available in three heights: 200cm, 115cm and 85cm. They also come in three colours: black, white or galvanised steel (only available for 85cm). The wall panels can be ordered as single units or in pairs, for customised arrangements.

Care Instructions

Lacquered, powder-coated & galvanised steel

  • Wipe the surface with a cloth. Wipe with a damp cloth with detergent. Then wipe the surface dry with a cloth.
  • Remove stains with a non-abrasive cleaner.
  • Never use steel wool.
  • Always wipe the surface with a clean cloth.
  • Use coasters for hot vessels and vessels that risk leaking through moisture.
  • Check from time to time that the mounting hardware and screws are properly tightened.
